ARTCOURT Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of works by Seishu Niihira (b. 1988) at ART OSAKA 2019. Through an experimental approach that uses the phenomena of reflection, transmission, and refraction of light, as well as other visual effects, Seishu Niihira continues to pursue the contemporary expression of time and space in painting. At ART OSAKA 2019, we will be showcasing a new group of works from the series Inversion, which features the passage of time and the layering of varying spaces as themes. Updating the motifs he draws and the medium he uses, Niihira amplifies the sensory experience of his work to bring a new world of illusion into being.
