Nobuko Watanabe “Talking to Space”

Nobuko Watanabe is an artist who works with cloth. Since the late 90s, she has been focusing on one particular style in which she uses sets of wooden frames that have the same thickness, put a piece of cloth over, and put the frame together to form one finished piece. Ddifferent inteisities of tension she gives to cloth create curves around the edges, that is where the viewers' eyes go.This is the first major solo exhibition since 2001.

Shihoko Fukumoto“A Scene with a Chair”

Shihoko Fukumoto is one of the biggest figures among the indigo artists in Japan. This exhibition focuses on indigo dyed screens and a western chair. It is a new way in which East meets West. This exhibition is also linked with Fukumoto's new book "Portfoliollection Fukumoto Shihoko" (TELOS).

Seiko Kanno “Poems, Paintings, and Music”

Seiko Kanno (1933-1988) is a painter who belonged to the Association of Abstract Arts in the mid 60s. She was inspired by poems, music, philosophy, physics, and math. All of which helped to establish her distinguished use of lines in her paintings. This is the first exhibition in six years.
