Biography
1974 Born in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan.
1997 Graduated from Osaka University of Arts (Fine Arts Department, industrial arts section, major in ceramics).
1999 Completed art production research course at Osaka University of Arts Graduate School (received master’s degree).
2000 Assistant instructor of sculpture studies at Osaka University of Arts (until 2003). 2001 Received Grand Prix at 39th Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition
2002 Lecturer in ceramic art at Kansai College of Culture & Arts vocational school (ongoing). 2004 Merit Prize, 1st Taiwan International Ceramics Biennale
2006 Completed latter half of fine arts research doctoral program at Kyoto City University of Arts Graduate School
(field of ceramics and porcelain). Received doctorate (fine arts). 2010
